The Monterey County Regional Fire District said they responded to reports of downed lines and a severed power pole on Monday night. The incident occurred in the area of Davis Road and Hitchcock Road. Firefighters said the downed power lines caused around 3,5000 people to be without power. Firefighters said the driver suffered minor injuries.
