So they corrode / get dirty and give tons of false pinch alerts. Sometimes the pinch alert requires a full unplug to reset. The pinch detect goes through the DFI and if the DFI fails so does the pinch detect circuit leading one to think its the actual contacts being the problem when it isn't totally if the contacts are corroded.
