I believe that alot of wobble box trouble on 489-1465 haybines have to do with the telescoping shaft that drives the wobblebox. The two halves wear and don't telecope smoothly under load and causes chattering on the universals and gearbox.

The rear U-joint yoke floats on the slipclutch input shaft splines, There is 3 bolts that hold that bearing housing on.
