Those planters use a solid applicator style lift wheel system that pivots on two bearing holders. The bearing holders are welded to the frame on the 7000 series.
Row length averaged 14 rows per acre and row width was 38 inches. I think tractor was operating at about 4.5 miles per hour. I did stop several times to monitor seed corn levels and add the last two bags. Planted 9.7 bags of Dekalb DKC69-71 at 80,000 seed count for a plant population of 24250 per acre. The stock clutch will work pretty well on a 4 and 6-row, but it's the same clutch on the 8 and 12-row models and that proved to be more of a load than the clutch could handle if worn at all.
