There has been a number of guys on here that have said there isn't a noticeable difference between Gen 4 & Gen 5 in the trail models. I think the Gen 5 in the Summit and Freeride is where there has been significant improvements. I have seen a lot of good reviews of the Gen 5 in the Deep Snow.
The last few days, when I try to open Dootalk, it comes back and says unsecure site. Anyone know what is up?850 blew up. So my 2022 assault 850 with 1255km blew up the other day. No reasons at all was going on a nice straight and just shut down. I guess the top and the bottom end are gone. What would cause it. Jul 20, 2012. #6. I have had a 97, a 2007 300F, and currently have a 2008 550F LT and a 2010 550F Sport (137X15). The 2010 has 1500 miles and the 2008 has 3774. Oct 28, 2011 · After 3.5 yrs of riding that's what I call pathetic. Now the warranty is reduced to 2yrs or should I say 2 short sledding seasons. Brp knows but these 850 are far from 4 stroke reliability. Probably better than the old 800 mills, but still not great for a 25k initial purchase price. It all depends on how much you ride. Sold mine with 9000 miles on it in 2015 (2012 that I bought brand new) never had 1 issue. I changed the chain case every 1200 miles lubed and adjusted the track every other ride and adjusted the belt when needed. Never even changed the plugs.
