There is no way to condense 4 years of med school + 4 years of residency into a 2-3 year part time program that covers "pathophysiology, pharmacy, differential med diagnosis as relates to psychiatry" bc there is too much information to cover.A PsyD has a stronger focus on clinical training, whereas a PhD puts more emphasis on research.
