Overall it was really fun and super easy to level. Sorcerer is by far the best leveling class now, being high above warlock in terms of speed.Strimtom's hardcore season 1, 2 and 3 builds are easy to achieve, high survivability, decent new player starting builds that require no tomes. Some involve race/class/universal tree unlocks but a fair bit don't. I would say new players go look there instead of other places.
