Bosses would take advantage of you. You'll continuously be defeated if not careful of the game mechanics. Here, you try doing darkmoor with only Waterworks gear and let me know how "difficult" it really is. (I've done it). Khrysalis crafted gear is often forgot about but it's legitimately as good as darkmoor gear, it just has no shadow rating. Its the only piece of gear I want now that I can go for dragoon hat and boots. But the drop rate is extremely awful, my death alone now has 64 runs as of this morning. Also to mention I've spent roughly 5k crowns, maybe more, on the chest to only get the lowest tier of armor. One piece of gear shouldn't be this hard.

The biggest problem is that Waterworks gear is so incredibly strong that in order to induce players to upgrade they had to add an even more broken gear set (Darkmoor) and eventually an even more even more broken set (Dragoon) which just made the problem worse.
