Jun 17, 2011 · There were some early Gen3 9mm frames that only had 2 pins in the frame, so you couldn't convert those to .40. To convert a G17 to .40, as long as the frame is 3-pin, you need a G22,G24, or G35 slide and barrel of the same Generation as the G17 frame. You also need a .40 trigger housing for the same Generation frame, and G22 magazines. G23 - G27.

You cannot have a 19L with a 17 frame if you want a true 19L (if there is such a thing). Also with buying the 19 and adding the 19L slide and barrel, you can sell the OEM 19 slide and barrel. In the end, everything is OEM except the 19L slide. Chopping a 17/34 leaves you with a chopped 17/34 that'll accept 19 mags. That's not a 19L.
Game changer. I made a 19 slide with a massive 2 port comp that fits a g34 holster. Also I like the look of the comp sitting in the frame a little. I think once it is don’t it’s gonna look better than a g45 IMO. A 19x or 45 with a massive two port comp fits inside a 34 holster.

It's just cosmetic. Guns function fine despite dust covers (berettas have no cover on top, AKs function normally without a cover). Lots of "tactical" slides have openings all over. Revolvers are open. Some factory Glocks have a hole in the dustcover to reduce weight.
