Didn't cram with them but read them both in the month or so leading up to the exam. You don't have to study for years and years to master a narrow field and become a specialist (e.g. neurosurgeons, cardiologists). (Not to take away from the fact that EM is a specialty in emergency medicine.)

Don't think many students listened though considering somewhere around 65% of us took USMLE (probably an underestimation).
